Course Description:      

Develops typewriting skills and techniques.  Covers basic procedures such as typing personal and business letters, envelopes, centering, tabulation, and manuscripts.  Goal is to key at least 30 words per minute.  This course may be waived upon examination.

  • Speed timings—1, 2, 3-minute exercises

 

Course Organization

The is not a self-paced course.  Students are expected to access the course each week and complete the assignments listed in the assignment area of Blackboard.  The course is organized by lessons, and within those lessons are drills, practices, and word processing assignments that must be completed.  An assignment posting for each required assignment is available in the assignment area of Blackboard.
